We want you to stay healthy in winter
Its extremely important to look after ourselves in winter as cold temperatures can raise blood pressure and increase the risk of flu and other lung-related problems. Its important to keep moving, even if you do not feel like it. Moving will generate heat and help you to keep warm, whilst keeping your fitness levels up.
- If you are unable to get out, chair exercises are a good way of keep your circulation moving. You can do leg and arm exercises and even wiggling your toes will help
- If able, take a short walks even if up and down your lounge.
- Make yourself a warm drink and spread any chores throughout the day.
- .Eat well with hot meals and drinks throughout the day. Having a hot drink before bed, or using a flask is also a good idea.
