Seed to eat program
In line with the seed to eat program, over the last few months we have growing our own vegetables at Pineapple Care. This has given all our LD Service Users the opportunity to learn about the lifecycle of plants and the patterns of nature. Our Service Users have learnt where food comes from and have had the opportunity to watch the different stages of the growth of seeds, The vegetables are coming along nicely and in a few weeks our Service Users will be able to choose between the vegetables they have grown to use in preparing their own meals, or to distribute these to the elderly in our local community.
Pineapple Care Sports Day
On Friday the 26th of July all our service users with learning disabilities will be participating in pineapple cares sports day. Everyone will be participating in 6 events consisting of the egg and spoon race, the three-legged race, the sack race, mini hurdles, the bean bag distance game and a football match.
